Police look for man who held up bank in Armagh this morning

ARMAGH — State police in Indiana are searching for the man who robbed a bank in Armagh on Wednesday.

Troopers said a man brandishing a pistol walked into the S&T; Bank branch on Philadelphia Street shortly after 11 a.m.

The robber demanded money from a teller and then walked out and ran in an unknown direction with the money. Troopers did not say how much was taken.

Troopers described the suspect as a white male about 40 year old and about 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a medium build.

S&T; Bank operates with about 50 branches throughout western Pennsylvania, according to the bank Internet site.

Anyone with information on the holdup may contact state police in Indiana at (724) 357-1960.
