The owner of Integrated Technologies & Services International is sharing his experience in the international business market.
Richard Somiari, through his ITSI-Biosciences facility in the Kernville section of Johnstown, is hosting a Nigerian state legislator’s fact-finding mission.
“We want to share part of the experience of the achievements of Johnstown,” said Philip A. Gyunka, who chairs the Nasar-awa State House of Assembly’s finance and appropriations committee. “Johnstown and the United States have a lot of experience that we want to tap from them.”
The Nasarawa section of Nigeria has valuable minerals the country is beginning to mine and market. There is also a large agriculture industry that Gyunka believes could benefit from contacts he will make during a visit to Galliker Dairy Co.’s Richland Township plant today.
Gyunka’s tour of the new ITSI-Biosciences Science and Technology Innovation Center at 633 Napoleon St. focused on biotechnology and disease prevention. ITSI-Biosciences markets its human cell analysis kits in Nigeria through Nasarawa-based Innovative Biotech Limited. Company Chief Executive Officer Simon Agwale accompanied Gyunka to Johnstown.
Nigerian scientists use ITSI-Bioscience kits in their work to find treatments for malaria and other diseases.
