BERLIN — Four people were flown to hospitals in Pittsburgh and Altoona early today after they were found to be suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.
The incident occurred at 311 Hays Mill Road in Brothersvalley Township, according to the Somerset County Department of Emergency Services. The conditions of the patients were not immediately available.
Injured were a husband, wife and two children, officials said.
A fire department official said he did not know the cause of the poisoning, which occurred about 3 a.m.
Responding were the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department along with EMS units from Berlin, Meyersdale and Somerset. Further details were not immediately available.
