Jennerstown woman struck and killed

JENNERSTOWN — A 76-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon when she was struck by a sport utility vehicle near her home here.

Annie Gindlesperger of Jennerstown was pronounced dead Sunday at the scene of the accident along Route 30 near Locust Street in Jennerstown.

Police say the westbound SUV operated by Robert Hantz, 28, of Pittsburgh, drifted off the road and struck Gindlesperger at 2:51 p.m. Sunday.

The investigation continues, and no other details were available Sunday.
