NEW – Charges against Nicholas Horner bound over for trial

A Blair County district justice shortly before noon today ordered that all charges against Nicholas Adam Horner be bound over for trial.

Horner is charged with a double homicide that occurred April 6 in Altoona and Alleghenty Township.

Testimony was given by six witnesses this morning – including an employee working at Subway where the first shooting took place, a customer and a police officer.

Horner, 29, is a 1999 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. He is charged with shooting Ray Williams, 64, a long-time Cambria County insurance agent and resident of Northern Cambria Borough. Also killed that day was Scott Garlick, a high school senior who worked at the sandwich shop located near the Logan Valley Mall.
