Conservancy begins seven-month survey

The Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has launched a seven-month survey of visitors to the Ghost Town Trail in Indiana and Cambria counties.

Boxes containing the postage-paid, self-addressed surveys are installed at major trailheads along the trail.

Users are encouraged to fill out a survey and mail it in. The survey is intended to determine user characteristics and attitudes about the trail, how much money users spend because of the trail and the trail’s economic impact on local business.

The project was made possible by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
