Dispute leads to charges

TIRE HILL — A Somerset County man was charged with felony terroristic threats after police said he threatened to get a gun and shoot his neighbor.

Richard L. Murray, 55, of Washington Street, also was charged with disorderly conduct.

Police in Conemaugh Township said a neighbor accused Murray of dumping dog feces on the front porch.

When the man confronted Murray, he allegedly picked up a weight from a workout set and threw it at the man.

Murray then allegedly threatened to get a gun and blow his head off, police said.

According to police, neighbors said Murray has numerous weapons at his house. They said he also carries a black bag where he keeps his medication and a pistol.

Murray was arraigned Monday by on-call District Judge Susan Mankamyer of Boswell and released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
