Beginnings Inc. is collecting books for its third annual used book sale scheduled for January.
The agency is accepting adult and children’s books, hard cover or paperback, in good condition.
Donations also can include CDs and DVDs, but textbooks, magazines and encyclopedias will not be accepted.
Community collection sites include:
• Giant Eagle in Richland Township.
• SNAP Fitness in Westmont.
• YWCA in Johnstown.
• AmeriServ Financial branches in downtown Johnstown, Eighth Ward, The Galleria mall, Lovell Park in Ebensburg and Westmont.
Donations also can be dropped off at the Beginnings office, 111 Market St. in downtown Johnstown.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit Beginnings Inc.’s early literacy and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) programs.
The book sale will take place Jan. 15-18 at The Galleria.
