Suspected Penn Hills cop shooter’s girlfriend charged

PITTSBURGH — The girlfriend of the man accused of killing a suburban Pittsburgh police officer is now facing charges.

Police say Kashawna Jackson provided a false alibi for 32-year-old Ronald Robinson by saying they were together at the time of the fatal shooting.

Authorities say Robinson killed Penn Hills police officer Michael Crawshaw on Sunday after leaving a house where he also shot and killed Danyal Morton over a $500 drug debt.

Allegheny County police took Jackson into custody Wednesday night on charges of hindering apprehension and evidence tampering.

Jackson’s father told WPXI-TV that his daughter “had nothing to do with this” and “leads a clean life.”

Crawshaw’s funeral is scheduled for Friday.
