MUNDYS CORNER — No injuries were reported when a school bus carrying four or five children from the Central Cambria School District pulled into the path of an SUV in Jackson Township this morning.
Central Cambria district superintendent Vincent DiLeo said none of the children were injured and all were examined by paramedics before they were transferred to another bus and transported to school.
“It was not a serious accident by any means,” DiLeo said. “They were not stranded in the cold or anything.”
Jackson Township Police Chief Robert Fatula said bus driver Patricia Evanicsko, 43, of Ebensburg pulled from a stop sign onto Benshoff Hill Road and into the northbound path of a 2000 Ford SUV driven by Richard Kosakowski, 33, of Waterfall Drive, Johnstown.
The drivers were not injured and the accident remains under investigation, Fatula said.
