EBENSBURG — President Judge Timothy Creany will announce his choice this morning of the person to fill a vacancy on the Central Cambria School Board.
Five residents of Cambria Township – the region where the vacancy occurred – are seeking the appointment to fill the two-year term.
The school board was unable to garner the majority of the votes needed to fill the vacancy when the directors split four to four over two of the people now seeking the appointment.
The vacancy was created when Dennis Simmers was elected to both a four-year and two-year term on the school board and he chose to take the four-year term, leaving the two-year term to be filled.
