A public awareness seminar to introduce residents to local emergency responders and to learn about their services will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Cambria County Christian School, 561 Pike Road, Mundys Corner.
The event will be sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Police, along with the Jackson Township Police Department, Cambria County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson Township Fire and Ambulance Services, Conemaugh MedStar Medical Helicopter and the local chapter of the Concerns of Police Survivors.
The event is free and open to the public.
Richland to host safety program
“The Drive to Save Lives Tour,” a traffic safety presentation, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richland High School’s theater.
The presentation will feature Cara Filler, a well-known speaker on peer pressure, risk-taking and traffic safety.
Filler is said to be an entertaining, inspirational and educational speaker who has impacted the lives of over one million students worldwide.
The event is free and open to the public.
