SEVEN SPRINGS — Around 200 people were lined up on Thursday afternoon to shred up Seven Springs Mountain Resort's newest attraction - the world's first urban snowboard park. The chain-cutting ceremony - because cutting ribbons is too lame - happened at 4 p.m. and the public got their first taste of the course.
Emulating areas one might find in an urban environment (but with more white and more cold), Jeremy Anderson, largely involved in the planning, engineering and building of the park, is confident that "The Streets" will indulge enthusiasts looking to get into the latest trend in snowboarding.
