St. Francis hires cross country/track assistant
LORETTO – Donna Ridgeley will join the cross country and track and field programs at St. Francis University after being hired as an assistant coach for both teams.
Ridgeley owns 30 years of coaching experience and previously spent three years as an assistant coach at St. Francis.
She also served as track coach at Central Cambria High School, where she mentored numerous District 6 and PIAA champions.

Charleston halts Pitt-Johnstown win streak
Renee Boudreau’s second-half goal lifted Charleston (W.Va.) University to a 1-0 victory over Pitt-Johnstown Tuesday afternoon at Point Stadium in a match between two of the top women’s soccer teams in the WVIAC.
The result snapped a four-match win streak for the Lady Cats (8-3, 4-2).
Boudreau’s goal came on a breakaway in the 61st minute and was assisted by Brittany Loveland.
Charleston goalie Courtney Budd had the shutout.
UPJ goalie Timi Shiock made 10 saves as Charleston attempted 23 shots.

Time change for Westmont-McCort kickoff
Westmont Hilltop’s game against Bishop McCort Saturday at the Hilltoppers’ Price Field will start at 2 p.m.
The parade will begin at noon and the game is being played an hour later due to SAT testing.
