HOCKEY: Feyock makes ECHL debut

Bishop McCort graduate Anthony Feyock made his ECHL debut for the Reading Royals on Friday night, stopping 16 of 17 shots by the first-place Cincinnati Cyclones in a 5-4 loss.

Feyock entered the game after Cincinnati’s Billy Irish-Baker scored 58 seconds into the second period to give the Cyclones a 4-0 advantage against starter Terry Denike.

The former University of Rhode Island national club champion goalie allowed only Pittsburgh native Matt Syroczynski’s goal 2:46 into the third as Reading fell behind by five goals.

The Royals stormed back with four third-period goals to close within one. Feyock was the goaltender of record, picking up the loss despite his solid play.
