DUBOIS, Pa. — Verizon Wireless today announced it is bringing the nation’s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Clearfield, DuBois and Punxsutawney on July 19.
With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, customers can enjoy the best experience in wireless data usage when they use their 4G LTE wireless devices in these communities to surf the Web, stream music and video, take advantage of thousands of applications, and stay in touch with family and friends, all with speeds up to 10 times faster than before.
When Verizon Wireless turns on its 4G LTE network in Clearfield, DuBois and Punxsutawney, customers who live in, or visit, areas including along the Interstate 80 corridor through Jefferson and Clearfield counties and north from Indiana County along U.S. Route 119 to Interstate 80 will have access to the nation’s fastest 4G network.

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network is available to more than two-thirds of the U.S. population in 304 markets across the country and offers more 4G LTE coverage than all other networks combined. Verizon Wireless customers looking to experience the nation’s fastest 4G network can choose from the largest selection of 4G LTE devices, ranging from tablets, mobile hotspots, smartphones and more.

Verizon Wireless customers can also take advantage of HomeFusion(SM)- Broadband, which leverages the power and speed of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network to deliver high-speed, in-home Internet access for residential broadband, particularly where Internet options are limited or are not currently available.
In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
