BLAIRSVILLE — DELCOCO – Robert Sr. “Coke,” 82, Blairsville, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Westminster, Md. Born April 27, 1930, in Blairsville, son of Constantino and Concetta (Bendetto) Delcoco. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was employed by Westinghouse Specialty Metals Plant for 36 years. He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1948. He served the U.S. Navy with active duty in the Korean War aboard the USS Los Angeles. Surviving are wife, Rose Ann (Bufagna) Delcoco, Blairsville; two sons, Robert Jr., and wife, Kimberly, Evansville, Ind., and Scott N., and wife, Kristine, Indiana, Pa.; one daughter, Denise A. Konold, and husband, Michael, Westminster, Md.; four grandchildren, Bailey, Logan, Alaina and Alyssa; one sibling, Doris Sobota; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents and one brother, John L. Delcoco. Mr. Delcoco was a member of SS. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church and VFW Post 5821, both of Blairsville. Viewing for friends and family members will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at SS. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Father Chester J. Raimer officiating. Interment, church cemetery. VFW Post 5821 and American Legion Post 0407 will conduct military graveside service. James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Blairsville, is managing all arrangements.
