BEAVERDALE — SASEK – Helen (Halgash), 90, Beaverdale, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Rebekah Manor, Portage. Born April 10, 1922, in Beaverdale, daughter of George and Helen (Halgas) Halgash. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph; brother, John; and sisters, Anna, Susan and Mary. Survived by sons, David J. Sasek, and wife, Nora (Tavernini), Wickliffe, Ohio; and Mark G. Sasek and Larry P. Sasek, both of Beaverdale; grandsons, Paul and David; granddaughter, Kelley, married to William Salerno; and great-grandchildren, Nico and Giana. Also survived by sisters, Elizabeth, married to John Gerl, Willoughby, Ohio; and Shirley Zeller, Wickliffe, Ohio; and brother, George Halgash, Lewiston, N.Y. Lifelong member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Beaverdale. Family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale, with Parastas to be held in the evening. Panachida service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed by funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. Committal, St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Beaverdale. Helen’s family would like to express and give a special thank you and appreciation to all of the compassionate caregivers at Rebekah Manor in Portage for all of their care and service they have provided.
