HASTINGS — WESTRICK – John P., 78, Hastings, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at his residence. Born March 22, 1934, in Hastings, son of the late Wilfred F. and Lucy M. (Strossler) Westrick. Also preceded in death by brothers, William, Thomas and James Westrick. Survived by wife, Dolores C. (Strittmatter) Westrick; daughter, Mary (Ray) Shingle, Chest Springs; sons, Joe and Ken Westrick, both of Ellicott City, Md.; grandchildren, Nicole (Adam) Standard; and John Shingle, and friend, Lacey; and special family friend, Mabel Huber. Mr. Westrick was a graduate of Cambria-Rowe Business School. He was an accountant and did payroll for St. Francis University for many years. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Member of St. Boniface Church. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hastings. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial, church cemetery, with military rites by Hastings VFW. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
