WINDBER — TAORMINA – Sadie L., 93, Windber, died March 22, 2013. Born Feb. 12, 1920, in Windber, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Ianni) Taormina. Also preceded in death by husband, Michael; son, Michael; brothers, Phillip, Nick, William and Albert; and sisters, Edith DePolo and Rose Senella. Survived by son, Anthony, married to the former Linda Paul, Windber; and daughter, Michelle Taormina, Tampa, Fla. Grandmother to Christina Taormina; and Michael, and wife, Melissa; and great-grandmother to Joshua and Thaddeus. She was the last surviving member of her family. Lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday, TOR Franciscans. Private committal at church cemetery. Friends received from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. Memorials may be directed to Windber Hospice in Sadie’s memory.
