JOHNSTOWN — SIGG – Meriam B. “Mim,” 90, died Oct. 2, 2012, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born July 26, 1922, daughter of William Franklin and Verna May (Daley) Houser. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert E. Sigg; three sisters; and three brothers. Survived by daughter, Barbara, wife of James Sorber, Woodbridge, Va. Meriam was a devoted wife and mother. Longtime member of Johnstown Grace Brethren Church, Napoleon Street, where she was the financial secretary for decades until her death. At Mim’s request, there will be no viewing. Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., the Rev. Wes Yoder, officiating. Interment will be private at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Meriam’s name to American Cancer Society or Salvation Army in Johnstown.
