NORTHERN CAMBRIA — CHLOPIK – Mary, 94, Northern Cambria, passed away Jan. 3, 2013. Born Dec. 3, 1918, in Bakerton, daughter of Mike and Anna (Archick) Nalisnick. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John Chlopik, who died Sept. 22, 2004; brothers, Wasco, Nick, Frank, Stanley, John and Mike Nalisnick; and sisters, Nancy Vanscavich, Catherine Marsinko and Helen Daniels. Survived by sons, John A. (Gail) Chlopik, Ohio; and George (Gloria) Chlopik, Northern Cambria; grandchildren, Mary Theresa, Andrew and Christina; stepgrandson, Ed Powers; and great-grandchildren, Ian, Breanna, Cierra and Camden. Sister of George Nalisnick, Virginia; Evelyn Fisanich, Patton; and Millie Swaynos, Northern Cambria. Member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, where she faithfully volunteered for many years making pierogi for church fundraisers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where Panachida will be recited at 7:15 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Father Andrew Clarke, celebrant. Committal, church cemetery.
