JOHNSTOWN — MEDVIC – Mary, 95, Johnstown, passed peacefully into eternal life Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. Born Sept. 11, 1917, daughter of Michael and Mary (Kaczur) Medvic. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Michael, Stephen and John; and sisters, Betty Prokopovich, Dorothy Krett, Helen Sroka, Margaret Sroka-Gyure and Ann Rodak. Survived by sisters, Katherine Koscienski, Pauline Kohan and Sophie Medvic; sisters-in-law, Florence (Godish) Medvic, Wickliffe, Ohio; and Nancy (Timko) Medvic, Bedford, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was dearly loved by her entire family. Lifetime member of Christ the Saviour Cathedral. Retired employee of Troy Laundry. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home, West End, where the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro will hold Panachida service at 7 p.m. Friday. There will be a brief service at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. at Christ the Saviour Cathedral. Committal, Cathedral cemetery.
