GROVE CITY, PA. — PATTERSON – Ruth Hutchison, 92, Grove City, formerly of Armagh, went home to be with her Lord Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. She was born Aug. 27, 1920, in New Florence, daughter of the late Walter and Daisy Adams. She is survived by daughter, Sandra Wakefield, and husband, Gary, Slippery Rock; sons, David Hutchison, Long Island City, N.Y., and Eugene “Archie” Hutchison, Armagh; grandsons, Jason, and wife, Allison, Nashua, N.H.; Chad, and wife, Kathy, Weatherford, Texas; and Ryan, and wife, Christina, Ashburn, Va.; stepgrandchildren, Doug, Keith and Tammy; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her first husband, Sam Hutchison; second husband, Lysle Patterson; brothers, William, Hubert and Ernest Adams; and stepson, Donald Patterson. In her earlier years, Ruth and husband, Sam, were very active in the farming community, especially in Pennsylvania Grange Society. She was also a lifelong active member of the Armagh United Methodist Church, where she served as organist, choir member and on various committees and was very active in many church functions. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, Pa. 15920, and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Armagh United Methodist Church. Interment, Armagh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Armagh United Methodist Church, 570 W. Philadelphia St., Armagh Pa. 15920.
