Jack W. Plunk

EAST TAYLOR TOWNSHIP — PLUNK – Jack W., 92, East Taylor Township, went to be with the Lord Jan. 16, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 7, 1920, in Johnstown, son of Thomas and Mildred (Yeager) Plunk. Preceded in death by parents and wife, Dorothy E. (Reighard) Plunk. Survived by loving daughter, Linda C. Plunk, East Taylor Township; sister, Dorothy Irene Clawson, Indianapolis, Ind.; and nephew, Scott (Chris) Clawson, Indianapolis, Ind. Jack was a graduate of Franklin High School and later graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an accounting degree. Jack was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He retired from Bethlehem Steel. Member of Conemaugh Grace Brethren Church. Jack enjoyed reading, but especially loved cutting grass and spending time with his family. Friends received from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, the Rev. Richard Horner, officiating. Private interment at Headrick Union Cemetery.  The family suggests contributions be directed to Conemaugh Grace Brethren Church, 115 Oak St., Conemaugh, Pa. 15909, in memory of Jack.
