WINDBER — SHUSTER – Mrs. Emma L., 92, Mine 40, Windber, passed away Jan. 18, 2013, at Arbutus Park Manor and Retirement Center. Born Oct. 27, 1920, in Central City, daughter of Joseph and Anna (Bubenko) Burinda. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Steve; brothers, Louie, Steve and John; and sister, Mary Kolonich. Survived by children, Stephen, married to the former Joanne Kozlick, Central City; Thomas and Dennis, both of Windber; and Deborah, wife of Terry McGory, Monroeville. Sister of Joe Burinda, Central City; Helen Szymonifka, New Jersey; and Paul Burinda, and wife, Rosemary, Central City. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Former member St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Windber. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, VF, pastor. Committal, St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Windber. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber.
