HOLLSOPPLE — RAYMAN – John W. “Pinoch,” 82, Hollsopple, died Jan. 25, 2013, at Windber Medical Center. Born Dec. 27, 1930, in Hollsopple, son of Walenty and Agnes (Washco) Rayman. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Frank; and sister, Helen Faust. Survived by wife of 49 years, Doris J. (Kline); son, John W. Jr., at home; daughters, Gloria Rayman, Pittsburgh, and Paula Rayman, Virginia; brother, Joseph Rayman, married to Anna Marie (Jara), Sandusky, Ohio; brother-in-law, William Faust, Rock Hill, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1949 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. U.S. Army veteran of Korean War. Partner in former Rayman Bros. Garage, Davidsville. Retired employee of Advanced Cutting Systems, Windber. John was a longtime drummer with the Crescendos polka band. He was a lifelong member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, where he was an usher. Also a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Council 8979 and Father David J. Dodson 4th Degree Assembly 2201, K of C, where he was a member of the Color Corps; Johnstown Musical Society, Local 41; Windber Post 137, American Legion; Windber Polish Club; and the Korean Veterans Association Inc. Viewing from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, the Rev. Father Michael Lewandowski, OFM Conv., celebrant. Committal, St. Anne Cemetery, Hollsopple.
