JOHNSTOWN — BAKER – Naomi Ruth, 78, Johnstown, died Feb. 12, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 2, 1934, in Johnstown, daughter of August S. and Gertrude A. (Miller) Paige. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Samuel, Edward, August and Clyde Paige; and sister, Bertha Krivach. Survived by her loving husband of 48 1/2 years, Robert “Mick” Baker; daughter, Paige A., wife of Daniel J. Boyer, Johnstown; and granddaughter, Danielle Paige Boyer. Sister of Mathilda G. Poehner, Lynchburg, Va.; and Kenneth E. Paige, Fort Wayne, Ind. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Louise Paige and Kathleen Paige, both of Johnstown; Pearl Beretsel, DuBois; and Janet Baker, Michigan; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Naomi was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she sung in the choir. She retired from the Greater Johnstown School District, where she was a teacher for 35 years. Also a member of the “Lunch Bunch.” She was the best wife, mom and nana ever and will be missed by her family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, where funeral service will be held, the Rev. Michael VanDyke, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 613 Locust St., Johnstown, Pa. 15901, in memory of Naomi.
