CARROLLTOWN — VENESKY – Edna L., 90, Carrolltown, passed away Nov. 25, 2012, at her home. She was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Bakerton, daughter of Ralph W. and Esther Grace (Mack) Davenport. Beloved wife of Francis J. Venesky, and mother to seven children, Patricia Kuntzman, Carrolltown; Alice Wyland, Cresson; Paula Johns; Francis Daniel, Drumore; Michael J., Pittsburgh; Anita Fedor, Northern Cambria; and John, Carrolltown. Edna leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Daniel; and granddaughter, Missy. Her family and her faith were the focus of her life. She will be greatly missed by all who have touched by her sweet temperament and loving spirit. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc. 146 North Main St., Carrolltown, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Additional viewing will be held from 9 a.m. Thursday until the 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, the Rev. Jude W. Brady, OSB.
