GREENWOOD, S.C. — CLINEMYER – Charles Robert Sr. “Shorty,” 64, resident of 114 St. Kitts Court, Greenwood, S.C., died June 27, 2012, at Hospice House. Born Oct. 13, 1947, in Lilly, son of the late John Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Sweeney) Clinemyer. Mr. Clinemyer was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Surviving are son, Charles Clinemyer Jr., and wife, Christa, Donalds, S.C.; daughter, Diane Johnson, and husband, Kevin, Fayetteville, N.C.; grandchildren, Adam Clinemyer, Emily Clinemyer, Brittany Bice, Katelynn Bice, Preston Clinemyer and Paige Clinemyer; sister, Barbara Bender, and husband, Bob, Hagerstown, Md.; and nieces and nephews, William (Theresa) Clinemyer, John (Audrey) Clinemyer, Jackie (Ed) Meyers, Denise (John) Boylan, Michelle (Roger) Rummell, Jimmy (Echo) Clinemyer, Sandy (Tim) Mangold, Karen (Chuck) Ecker, Kathy (Lynn) Jackson, Mary (Dereck) Palmer, Michael (Vickie) Bender and David Bender. Predeceased by son, Tommy Clinemyer; brothers, John and James Clinemyer; and sister, Catherine Clinemyer. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, North Carolina, the Rev. Curtis Eidson, officiating. Burial, with military rites, at Oakbrook Memorial Park, North Carolina. Pallbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Steve Bice, Billy Clinemyer, John Joseph Clinemyer III, Rusty Haney and James Michael Clinemyer. Honorary escorts will be Mack McFerrin, Danny Bell, Bill Bice, Al Jenkins, Butch Martin and Frankie Fain. The family is at the home of Charles and Christa Clinemyer, 7011 Highway 72 North, Donalds, N.C., and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
