CHERRY TREE — SOWALLA – Monty L., 67, Cherry Tree, passed away Oct. 16, 2012, at home. Born Dec. 21, 1944, in Spangler, son of Michael and Maryann (Prosky) Sowalla. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Michael Sowalla. Survived by loving wife of 44 years, Karen (Gray) Sowalla; daughter, Jennifer, wife of Steve Crawford, Centreville, Va.; son, Jason, husband of Leah Yeager, Manasses, Va.; and grandchildren, Christian, Abigail, Rebecca and Owen. Also survived by brother- in-law, Francis Gray, Cherry Tree; and sister-in-law, Nancy (Mondi) Sowalla, Northern Cambria. Member of Garman Church of God and RACRA (Flying Club). Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Garman Church of God, Northern Cambria, Pastor Russell Havener, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Monty’s memory to Child Evangelism Fellowship, P.O. Box 5597, Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
