George J. Dooley

CAIRNBROOK — DOOLEY– George J., 86, Cairnbrook, died Oct. 24, 2012, at home. Born June 16, 1926, the son of Charles and Fannie Dooley. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Dorothy; and these brothers and sisters: Nick, Anna, Paul, Charles, Mary, Pete, Helen and John. Survived by children, George D., Cairnbrook, and Linda, wife of Scott Adams, Georgia; grandchildren, Melissa and Melanie; and godchild, Carol (Kutsmeda). Retired Bethlehem Steel welder with 30 years’ service. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a scout with Patton’s Third Army at both the Battle of the Bulge and the Remagen Bridge Crossing. George enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church, Father Elijah Bremer. Committal, parish cemetery. Graveside military rites by Central City American Legion and VFW posts. Friends may call at St. Mary’s one hour prior to service. Arrangements by Mulcahy Funeral Home.
