EBENSBURG — LoPICCOLO – Salvatore J. “Joe,” 77, Ebensburg, passed away suddenly Oct. 30, 2012, at home. Born Jan. 24, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Salvatore Sr. and Elizabeth (Infurno) LoPiccolo. Survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Margie” LoPiccolo; children, whom Joe often said were “his legacy,” Suanne, wife of Mike Hamula, Grosse Ile, Mich.; Salvatore III “Sal” LoPiccolo, Maryland; Drew (Sandy) LoPiccolo, Indiana, Pa.; and Alissa, wife of Joseph Ball, Indiana, Pa.; and grandchildren, Ethan and Jared Hamula; Ashley (Bill) Yeager and Joel LoPiccolo; Shane, Kristin and Jordan LoPiccolo; and Jadyn and Giana Ball; and great-grandchildren, Kolten Yeager and Kaiden LoPiccolo. Joe was the owner and operator of LoPiccolo’s Pine Auto, Ebensburg, since 1978. He held memberships in Coal Country Car Club, Twin Rocks; and Summit Lodge 312 F&AM, Ebensburg. Joe also had served in the National Guard for many years. Private funeral and entombment will be held at Holy Name Mausoleum at the convenience of the family, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus, officiating. A celebration of life and receiving of family and close friends will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Imperial Room, Ebensburg Mini Mall (downstairs). In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Joe’s memory to Cambria County Association for the Blind, 211 Central Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15902.
