PORT MATILDA — MATHEWS – Jeffrey G., 50, Port Matilda, formerly of Altoona, died unexpectedly June 28, 2012, at his residence. Born Oct. 14, 1961, in McKeesport, son of Carl D. and Martha (Ruhl) Mathews. Preceded in death by father, who died in 2011. Survived by mother, Clairton, Pa.; mother-in-law, Bobbi Sallese, Johnstown; wife Jacqueline, Port Matilda; daughter, Melinda Mathews, son, Trey, and their mother, Kimberly Mathews-King; stepdaughter, Michaela; three stepsons, Donavon, Christopher and Zachary; three sisters, Diana McVady, and husband, Jim, Mount Washington, Ky.; Annette Fletcher, and husband, Jeffrey, Cameron, N.C.; and Susan Baccile, and husband, Dominick, Clairton; two brothers, Carl, and wife, Kimberly, Greensburg, and Mark, and wife, Mary, Clairton; brothers- in-law, Thomas and Col. Christopher Sallese; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Graduate of Clairton High School, Class of 1978, and Community College of Allegheny County, Class of 1981, with a business degree. Career manager in restaurant and hospitality industry. Enjoyed his family, golfing and kayaking. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, Father Anthony J. Legarski. Graveside committal service at Grays Woods Cemetery, Port Matilda, Pastor Steve Clifton.
