UPPER YODER TOWNSHIP — TILLEY – Joan L., 83, Upper Yoder Township, died March 12, 2013, in Johnstown. Born Sept. 26, 1929, in Johnstown, daughter of Milford A. and Louise (Tulowesky) St. Clair. Preceded in death by her parents, and brother, John D. “Jack” St. Clair. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 65 years, Charles “Chiz”; daughter, Cheryl, married to Dr. Sigurdur R. Petursson, Pittsburgh; four wonderful grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Joanne, Celeste, Cecilia, Esra; and her little dog, Bella. Joan and Chiz were inseparable and traveled all over the world. They sailed on 26 cruises, and vacationed with her daughter, Cheryl, and family. Joan had many activities she enjoyed in her life. She was past Worthy Matron of the Johnstown Chapter 183 of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had a cooking show on WJAC “Cooking with Tilley and Budash” that was broadcast for three years. Joan was a 50-year member of the auxiliary of Memorial Medical Center, serving as president in 1977. Joan loved to read and was a sports enthusiast her whole life. She was a member of Westmont Presbyterian Church. Joan will be sadly missed by her family and many friends, but her memory will never be forgotten. Friends received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2013, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the auxiliary of Memorial Medical Center, 1086 Franklin St., Johnstown, Pa. 15905, in memory of Joan L. Tilley.
