WILMORE — MARSALKO – Mary 86, Wilmore, died March 17, 2013, at Windber Hospital. Born July 1, 1926, in Wilmore, daughter of Theodore “Frank” and Anastasia (Makar) Potchak. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Louis Marsalko; brothers, Steve, John, Michael, Frank, Charles and twin brother, Peter Potchak; sister, Catherine Timura; and daughter-in-law, Cindy (Mossburg) Marsalko. She was the last member of her immediate family. Survived by children, Theresa “Terri,” wife of John “Butch” Williamson Sr., Portage; Dolores “Dee,” wife of Marlin Minor, Johnstown; Louis Marsalko, married to the former Diane Campitell, Gallitzin; Phillip Marsalko, Ohio; Catherine “Cathy,” wife of Brad Smith, State College; Mary Lou, wife of Thomas Giles, Portage; and Paul Marsalko, married to the former Tina Mihalick, Pittsburgh. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Kristy (Greg) Letzo, John (Bridget) Williamson Jr., Jason (Amy) Minor, Aaron (Jaclyn) Minor, Amanda Minor, Nicole (Greg) Custer, Lee Marsalko, Chad Marsalko, Justin Smith, Ashley Smith, Matthew Giles, Scott Giles, Logan Marsalko and Chase Marsalko; and great-grandchildren, Connor and Kaley Letzo, Collin Custer, Norah Minor and Hayden Minor. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Irma Potchak, Evelyn Potchak, Blanche Potchak, Helen Marsalko, Ann Worth and Louise Wartko; and numerous nieces and nephews. Life member of PNA and St. Anne’s Society. Choir member of St. Bartholomew Church, having spent many years on the election board and was on the ladies auxiliary of Wilmore Fire Company. She enjoyed polka music and dancing, gardening and interacting with people, especially while selling Avon products. She was a very devout Catholic and her family was her priority. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Wednesday and vigil service will be held in the afternoon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bartholomew Church, Wilmore, Father Robert Reese, celebrant. Committal, St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Portage.
