CENTRAL CITY — KOSTICK – Robert J., 67, Lambert Street, Central City, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at home with his wife by his side. He was born Feb. 11, 1945, in Windber, son of Ella (Smith) Kostick and the late George Kostick. On Aug. 6, 1976, in Everett Church of God, he married J. Ranee (Scitticatt) Kostick. Along with his wife of 36 years, he is survived by the following family, brothers and sisters, Gerald Smith, Mogadore, Ohio; Barbara Ann, married to Charles Snyder, Stoystown; George J. Kostick, married to Carol (Good), Central City; David M. Kostick, married to Cathy (Smith), Windber; and Daniel Kostick, Somerset; many nieces and nephews; and six honorary adopted grandchildren, the Mallow family. And faithfully loving little girl, his dog, Olivia Louise Kostick. He was a member of Everett Church of God. He was a licensed plumber, electrician and welder. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed by JLG Industry as a welder for 20 years until his health forced him to retire early. Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor William Kisne, officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.akersfuneralhome.com. Burial will be held at Rays Cove Christian Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Everett Area Honor Guard.
