EBENSBURG — BECKEL – Henry, 77, Ebensburg, passed away Nov. 9, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born June 12, 1935, in Nicktown, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Schlereth) Beckel. Preceded in death by parents; son, Kevin Beckel; brothers, Gilbert, Nicholas, Frank, George and John Beckel; and sisters, Agnes Louchran, Helen Yost, Gertrude Bearer, Rose Miller, Regina Beckel, Viola Keith, Edna Beckel and Margaret McCrystal. Survived by loving wife of 53 years, Betty (Goodman) Beckel, Ebensburg; these children: Cindy, wife of Mark Anstead, Homer, La.; Donna Day, and boyfriend, Raymond Crawford, Vinco; Robert David Beckel, married to the former Tina Bauldree, Ruston, La.; and Brian Beckel, Ebensburg; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Member of Ebensburg American Legion and social member of the Carrolltown Firemen’s Club. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or visitation. Service will be at the convenience of the family. Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, is in charge of arrangements.
