FORDS CORNER —
WESTRICK – Rita M. (Tedjeske), 61, Fords Corner, passed away Dec. 29, 2012, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct. 7, 1951, in Johnstown, daughter of the late George and Loretta Tedjeske. Preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Ann, and brother, Charles Tedjeske. Survived by husband, Thomas Westrick, to whom she was married 41 years, and sons, Thomas (Julie) Westrick, Indianapolis, Ind.; Stephen (Aimee) Westrick, Johnstown; and Adam Westrick, at home. Also survived by grandchildren, Megan and Madeline and Jensen and Giles Westrick. Sister of Donald Tedjeske, Johnstown; Robert (Maryann) Tedjeske, Holsopple; William (Patty) Tedjeske, Jenners; James (Dee) Tedjeske, Venetia, and sister-in-law, Cathy Tedjeske, Windber. A graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. She also graduated from Conemaugh Hospital’s School of Nursing and served as a registered nurse at Conemaugh Hospital, Torrence and Somerset State Hospitals, as well as the Ebensburg Center (State School). Rita enjoyed bowling with the “Foxy Ladies” and line dancing. She loved her role as wife, mom and grandmom. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. She was a member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Andrew Stanko, celebrant. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Interment, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita’s memory may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh or to the American Cancer Society.
