DELRAY BEACH, FLA. — SCHWARTZ – Ethel, 83, Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Johnstown, passed away Jan. 2, 2013, at Hospice of Palm Beach County. Born Aug. 2, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Frank H. and Elizabeth (Prager) Roth. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Max Schwartz; and brother, Robert G. Roth. Survived by daughter, Dr. Heidi Schwartz, and husband, Dr. Garth Amundson, Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Zoe Besse and Liv Blaine Amundson; and nieces and nephew, Patricia, Suzanne and Frank, and their families. Member of Beth Sholom Synagogue. Lifelong member of American Dietetic Association, and worked up until recently as a dietitian in Florida. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Seton College, Greensburg. She also completed a two-year dietetic internship at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ahavaths Achim, Rabbi Irvin Brandwein. Arrangements by John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave.
