NORTH HUNTINGDON — FALLAS – Edward T., 81, North Huntingdon, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, with his family by his side. He was born June 20, 1931, in Greensburg, son of the late Edward E. and Hilda (Rathgeb) Fallas. Also preceded in death by granddaughter, Maria Lynn Koval, and sister, Kathryn Sugent. He was a retired truck driver for St. Johnsbury Trucking and formerly drove for B&P Trucking. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 30 and was a member of Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin. He was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed bowling his Thursday night league, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren, as well as fixing things around the house. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 60 years, Alba C. (Ghiglietti) Fallas; children, Debra L. (Barry) Gresh, Revloc, and Donna J. (Scott) Dysert, Gibsonia; grandchildren, Zak and Ben Koval and Elena and Maria Dysert; the best brother he could ask for, Alfred (Barbara) Fallas, Harrison City; and a nephew and several nieces. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin, Pa. 724-863-1200. Parting prayers will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Church of the Immaculate Conception. Interment with military honors, Brush Creek Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Juniper Village and Key Care, and Dr. Waas and Dr. Toret for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
