Joseph R. Petak Jr.

JOHNSTOWN — PETAK – Joseph R. Jr., 63, Johnstown, died Jan. 7, 2013, in Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 2, 1949, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by wife, the former Linda (Rok); and sons, Kevin, Johnstown; and Richard, married to Sandra, Pittsburgh. Brother of Louise, married to Dennis Chervanak; Patricia, married to  Dennis Galindo; and Donald Petak, married to Connie; and brothers-in-law, Joseph Rok II, married to Anna Marie, Rick Rok married to Renee; Mike Rok, married to Laurie; John Rok, married to Mindy; and Bill Rok, married Heather. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a warehouse superviser at North American Hoganas and coached soccer for more than 25 years. Joseph was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and loved his wife and sons. Joe was very proud of his sons. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Visitation of the BVM Church, Father Barry J.
