FRANKLIN BOROUGH — DIETZ – William J. “Bill,” 82, Franklin Borough, went to be with the Lord Jan. 14, 2013. Born Nov. 19, 1930, in Bedford, son of William and Betsy (Robb) Dietz. Preceded in death by his parents; sons, Roger and Rodney; and brothers, Chester, Ted, Dale, Jim and Walter. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mildred I. (Preston) Dietz; children, Robin R., married to the former Susan Barbus, East Conemaugh Borough; and Nancy L. Dietz, Franklin Borough; daughter-in-law, Denise Dietz, Brownstown; grandchildren, Rebecca (Joe) Tallari, Johnstown; Derek (Courtney) Dietz, Tanneryville; Megan (Chad) Tessari, Johnstown; and Jocelyn (Bill) Savering, East Conemaugh; great-grandchildren, Rylei, Katie Dietz and Abbie Savering; Olivia and Alaina Tallari; and Brycen and Baby Tessari; sisters, Rose Wahl, Hooversville; and Shirley Beard, and Dottie, wife of Sam Heirline, all of Manns Choice; and several nieces and nephews. Bill retired from Franklin Borough after 34 years of service, where he was employed with the street department. He enjoyed bowling and pitching horse shoes, as well as hunting with his sons and grandson. He loved spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, the Rev. Eleanor J. Abarno, officiating.
