GRAZIERVILLE — STAGER – Elizabeth A., 81, Grazierville, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at her residence. Born March 6, 1931, in South Fork, daughter of Wilbur G. and Helen M. (Harvey) Dixon. On July 15, 1980, in Portage, she married Paul Stager. He died Sept. 26, 1971. Surviving are son, Robert, and wife, Joyce, Tyrone; daughter, Caroline Harpster, and husband, Michael, Williamsport, Md.; grandchildren, Ryan and Elisha Harpster, Kristin Harpster Stewart, Melanie Stager Adams and Missy Stager; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Gage Harpster, Katelyn and Griffin Adams and Alex Wilson; and fiance, George Kimberly, Altoona; also sister, Lila Skutch, Portage. Preceded in death by brothers, William, Donald and Robert Dixon. Elizabeth and her late husband, Paul, purchased Tyrone Auto Salvage in 1960. Upon his death, she and her son, Robert, have continued to operate the business. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with her fiance and family at her cabin on Pine Creek in Slate Run, Pa. Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, Father Jozef Kovacik, officiating. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, Pa. 16601, or to Home Nursing Hospice, 100 Lakemont Park Blvd., Altoona, Pa. 16601.
