JOHNSTOWN — MacEWAN – John Alton, 76, Johnstown, died Jan. 27, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital. Born Dec. 24, 1936, in Johnstown, son of the late James and Ethel Grace (Paul) MacEwan. Preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Harold “Buddy.” Survived by wife, the former Audrey J. Eisenhuth, Johnstown; sons, John E. MacEwan, and wife, Melissa, Johnstown; and James A. MacEwan, and wife, Jennifer, Georgia; twin sister, Juniata Toth, Johnstown; grandchildren, James and Kristin; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a fork truck driver for Standard Forge Products. At the request of the deceased and family, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 856 Benshoff Hill Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren.
