JACKSON TOWNSHIP — ALEXANDER – Donald R. “Buckee” “Orph,” 84, Jackson Township, passed away Feb. 7, 2013. Born May 2, 1928, in Nanty Glo, son of the late James and Edith Alexander. Preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Jim, Wayne and Bill; and sister, Virginia Murray. Survived by son, Michael, and wife, Patty Alexander; grandchildren, Diane, and husband, Chad; Heather; and Brian, and wife, Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Drew, Chaz, Gianna, Gabrielle and Anna. Also survived by brother, Alfred, and wife, Alvietta; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Catherine, and son, Andy Molinich; Wayne Stiles; and Tommy Batovich; as well as his loyal companion, Weejoy. Don was a mechanic at Bethlehem Steel for 29 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and especially his grandkids. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Marvin E. Lowery, officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory may be made to Jackson Township Fire Company.
