WINDBER — PAVLISIN – Mary Ann, 71, formerly of Windber, died Feb. 10, 2013. Born June 13, 1941, in Windber, daughter of the late Frank Pitera and Matilda Ann (Boyle) Pitera. Mary Ann was a beautiful, sweet, fun-loving wife and mother who became chronically ill in her early 20’s. Preceded in death by husband, John; son, John Anthony; and siblings, Alice Tantorno, Thomas Pitera, and Linda Crookham. Survived by children, Trina Barnes (Joe), San Antonio, Texas; Constance Paul, Bucks County, Pa.; and Adam Pavlisin (Katrinka), New Martinsville, W.Va. Grandmother to Cheriette Murphy (step); Joshua, Tony and Joette Barnes; Ben Arman (step); Rachael and Elizabeth Pavlisin; and James, Jay and Jamar Paul; and 14 great-grandchildren. Sister of Frank Pitera, Patricia Schriver, Denise Crookham, Catherine Rubino and James Pitera; brothers-in-law, Joseph Rubino, Robert Crookham, Richard Pavlisin, Frank Vekich, Charles Miano and Fred Manges; and sisters-in-law, Tammy Pitera, Helen Vekich, Elsie McElhaney, Margaret Miano, Mary Manges and Susan Pitera, who lovingly watched over Mary Ann in her latter years. Mary Ann also is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great- nieces and -nephews. Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, Father Adrian Tirpak, TOR, officiating. Private interment at St. John’s Cemetery, Windber.
