ASHVILLE — VINGLAS – Leon W. “Leo,” 83, Mark Hanna Road, Ashville, died Feb. 13, 2013, at his home. Born Oct. 10, 1929, in Tunnelhill, son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Abretski) Vinglas. Preceded in death by wife, the former Anna Gelletta, who died Dec. 5, 2011; son, Leon, on Oct. 17, 1974; brothers, Michael, George, Joseph and John; and sisters, Frances Stasik, Victoria Koeck, Mary Ksiazkiawicz and Helen Zebinsky. Survived by children, Brenda DeGol, Gallitzin; and Kevin (Laurie), Gallitzin; grandchildren, Karen Vinglas, Jennifer (Brandon) Butler and Christopher DeGol; and great-grandsons, Austin and Owen Olsick. Brother of Frank, Altoona; Walter (Marjorie), Cresson; and Thomas (Judy), Cresson; and sisters- and brothers-in-law, Margaret Strasser, Gallitzin; Irene (Joseph) Suchta, Lilly; John (Shirley) Gelletta, Taylor, Mich.; and Robert (Frances) Gelletta, Taylor, Mich. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Leon enjoyed polkas and cars. He worked for Beckwith Machinery as a mechanic. Private visitation and committal.
