WINDBER — PIATEK – Mildred M. (Law), 91, Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, passed away Feb. 14, 2013, at the home. Born Nov. 25, 1921, in Hollsopple, daughter of William and Marie (Williams) Law. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Michael W. Piatek; sisters, Geraldine, Betty, Ruby, Shirley, Ruth and Jane; and brothers, Albert, William and Carl. Survived by children, Michael Piatek, and wife, Kathleen, Anna Marie, wife of Joseph Young; and David Piatek, and wife, Mary Grace; grandchildren, Heather, wife of Brian Garvey; Amy; Jennifer; Lori, wife of Jason Blackburn; Kelly, wife of Steve Poe; Joey and Laura Fleck; David and Melissa Yost; and Ashley, wife of Tom DeOrieo; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Jared, Lucy, Baily, Noah and Madison. Sister of Delores Miller and Lois Solensky, also Jack, Tom, Donald, Robert and Ronald Law. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II (WAC). Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandma and ba-ba who will be dearly missed. At Mildred’s request, there will be no viewing or visitation, however family and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where Mildred was a member, the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, VF. Interment, St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Windber, with graveside military honors by Windber VFW Ritual Team. Arrangements by William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber.
