Franklin E. Huntsman

EVERETT — HUNTSMAN – Franklin E., 85, Pennknoll Village, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012. Born Sept. 5, 1927, in Martinsburg, son of the late Frank T. and Mary (King) Huntsman. He was husband of the late Marietta (Claybaugh) Huntsman, whom he married on March 18, 1951. Survived by daughter, Rose Marie, wife of Kenneth Miller, Alum Bank; grandchildren, Alison, wife of David Harclerode; Alesia, wife of Jim Young; Joshua Huntsman; and Stephanie Huntsman; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley, wife of Roy Sparks. Preceded in death by son, Stephen; brother, Donald; and sisters, Vera, Sarah and Ruth. Franklin was a graduate of Woodbury High School. During the years, he had a paper route in Florida, was a farmer, a motel owner and operator, a Bible storybook salesman, a carpenter and owner of Colonial Gift Shop. Member of Seventh Day Adventist Church and German Seventh Day Baptist. He enjoyed going to church, carpentry work, shoveling snow, reading, traveling and visiting with friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, and from noon until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home, Alum Bank, Pastor Paul Manuel and Pastor Bob Snyder, officiating. Interment, the Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury.
